“Then he said to the crowd, ‘Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.’”
Luke 12:15

Today Jesus is telling us to not let our lives revolve around possessions, revolve around the accumulation of possessions, working towards material wealth. It's not a bad thing to have dreams and endeavor great things with our lives but at the core of our mission it should be to build up the kingdom, to grow closer to God and to bring others closer to God too.

And if we have riches, if we have wealth, to use that, leverage that for the kingdom, for the Lord, for the people of the Lord.

Let's pray.

Thank you Lord for all of your blessings and your gifts, your talents. We ask you to help us use them for the kingdom Lord, use them for you, in servitude to you. Help us to be a blessing to all those around us, to have our hearts and minds set on you and set on bringing everyone around us, with us to you Lord. We pray all of this in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

All right everyone, no matter what's going on in your life today get out there and make it the best day ever.
