Even if we feel like we have our lives put together or like we are well put together people, a lot of times on the inside there's a lot of other stuff going on. For some of us, it's depression or anxiety or resentment or we're just angry. And that can lead us in directions that are really not healthy. A lot of times that can lead us into sin or just broken relationships. And Jesus is really saying, forget about the exterior for a little bit here, and just think about what are you pouring into your vessel. What are you putting into your soul? And how are you forming your soul?

So let's pray. Lord, today we ask you to pour your holy spirit into our souls. Help us to get rid of the things that cause us to sin, get rid of the things that lead us into darkness, lead us into loneliness. And we love you, Lord. We pray all of this in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
