I used to majorly struggle with the Rosary. To me, it seemed almost idolatrous until I understood the reasoning behind it. Imagine my annoyance when I realized that basically all of the Rosary was based on scripture! But, even in that knowledge, I still felt like something was off.

People with a childlike heart have fierce bravery, but also a fierce dependence no God. They have a willingness to forgive and be vulnerable with fellow brothers and sisters. Children are always ready for the next adventure, the next sunrise, the next laugh! They enjoy God’s goodness. And no matter how angry I can be at the little stinkers, I can’t help but love them and want the best for them… Just like how God loves us and wants the best for us.

Are the Saints and Mary Actually Mediators?

This is a passage misconstrued frequently to defend anti-catholic ideas, such as the saints and Mary being “mediators” for us. Firstly, the saints and mary are not referred to as mediators, but rather as intercessors. The definition of a mediator is someone who is "acting through" while intercession is “acting on behalf of someone.” God is acting THROUGH Jesus on our behalf, while the saints and Mary are simply ASKING on our behalf, which is exactly what happens when we ask our parents or friends to pray for us. We are not asking them to be mediators between us and God.
