John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him.

To accept Christ and live your life with him as your savior, you have to first know that you need saving. Are we willing to admit we need saving? Or are we living in arrogance as though we don’t need a savior?

I know for years before my conversion I lived life like I was in total control and never felt that I needed to be rescued. How desperately I was wrong though! I was the typical teen and young adult, partying, living it up for the moment. But when all that left me empty and longing for something more, I realized Jesus was there, fighting for me, trying to reach me through all the crap I’d allowed in my life to comfort me when all I really needed was Him the whole time.
