Pride and Prejudice

Luke 6:41-42

Jesus said, “Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye,
but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
How can you say to your brother,
'Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,'
when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye?
You hypocrite!  Remove the wooden beam from your eye first;
then you will see clearly
to remove the splinter in your brother's eye."

Everyone thinks they’re the cat’s pajamas compared to that ONE person they just can’t stand. I’ve noticed though, that the things that people do that drive us crazy are oftentimes the things WE do without even noticing. Life is not an easy thing for any of us. We all come with baggage and stories that have formed who we are. So today, let’s give grace to the people around us. Yes even that one person who drives you up the wall. And keep in mind that we all have at least some loss of vision through our own pride and prejudices.
