Psalm 145:17-19

The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all He does.
The Lord is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him;
He hears their cry and saves them.

Before I knew Jesus, I experienced some pretty low points in my life. In those times, I felt totally and completely alone. And it was the worst feeling.

After I began my relationship with Jesus in college, everything in my life wasn’t magically fixed, however, I knew for once I was not alone. I spent a lot of those nights at the foot of the cross at St. Tom’s, the parish at BGSU, and even though I was struggling, I knew I had someone holding me up.

If you’re walking through the valley right now and experiencing loneliness and pain, remember that the Lord is near to those who call on him. He has an immense tenderness and compassion for the brokenhearted.
