"Trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be." - St. Teresa of Avila
Where are you right now?
...Like... literally?
What is going on around you?
Stop reading this for a moment, and before continuing, just take in your surroundings. Be attentive to the noises, the colors, the conversations. Take it all in.
This moment is all you have right now. What if we operated from the premise, that God wants to use us at all times and in all places? If this moment is all you have, what are you doing with it? Are we present to the moment?
Today, let's together to make an intentional effort to be present to the moment. At work, with our spouse, with our kids, with our friends, let's be completely present to each moment as though no other moment existed or mattered. In each of these moments, let us be mindful of our need to be Christ to all we encounter.
Do not allow reflection on or even guilt of the past, or anxieties about the future, cloud your ability to be present here and now. Just for today, don't be anywhere but where you are. If you enjoy the way this impacts your moments, and perhaps your work, and perhaps your relationships, then maybe you can try it again tomorrow.
Your brother on the journey,
Nick
